MASSAGE AT PARTNERS IN HEALING

Claudia's massage style is a unique blend of relaxing Swedish massage and Structural Integration (see below for more information about Structural Integration or visit www.anatomytrains.com).  Each massage honors the receiver's innate wholeness and is customized to individual needs and preferences.

Reiki, a hands-on form of energy work, is often part of the massage.  The addition of the attuned Reiki energy facilitates a gentle release of tight, tense muscles and constricted fascia.

WHAT IS STRUCTURAL INTEGRATION?

KMI Structural Integration is based on the pioneering work of Dr. Ida P. Rolf, as developed by Thomas Myers of KMI. (Visit www.anatomytrains.com for more details.) This work may be incorporated into a massage session, and is especially effective when experienced as a 12 session series.  Each session of the KMI protocol addresses ever deepening layers of connective tissue to lengthen the body, improve alignment, and restore an easy balance to the body's structure.

Connective tissue is the body's fabric, forming the ligaments, tendons, and other structures that bind us together.  This fabric tends to shorten in response to long-held tensions, injury, or poor postural habits.  Structural Integration systematically and gently unwinds these bound places to restore freedom, flexibility and full self-expression.

Sessions are received mainly on a massage table applying a deep, slow stretch to the tissue, while the client participates through movement and feedback.

Each of the 12 sessions addresses a different set of relationships in the body and a different part of the client's pattern of movement.  Results are progressive and can be dramatic.  Structural Integration work also addresses the psycho-emotional patterns of posture and movement, and it is not uncommon for emotional issues to surface for resolution.

Structural Integration combines well with both Energy Healing and massage.

WHAT IS ESOTERIC HEALING?

Esoteric Healing is a form of energy work used to treat the body's energy field.  Although we do not usually consider ourselves to be energy fields, our bodies are made up of atoms that have electrons whizzing around the nuclei.  All the atoms in our bodies are tiny energy sources, so all combined they create a significant energy source.  The energy field that is created can even be photographed with special cameras!

Our energy field is made up of many levels or kinds of energy.  Just as our ears do not hear the high pitched sounds that dogs can hear, our eyes do not see all the energy in our energy field.  The types of energy in our field are physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.  When these are in balance, we feel healthy and peaceful.

Illness, which is an indication that we are out of balance, first appears as a density or block in our energy field.  If left unattended over time, if shows up in our body.  So if we keep our energy fully vitalized and clear of blocks, we stay healthier.

Esoteric Healing is only done with verbal permission of the person receiving treatment as well as the permission of their Soul.  It can be thought of as focused prayer.  The energy worker facilitates the flow and focus of Universal energy (higher power or God) onto the receiver.

What happens in an esoteric healing session?

After filling out a short form describing your symptoms you are asked to lie down or sit in a chair fully clothed.  The energy work, which takes between 35 and 60 minutes, is done off the body - in other words the energy worker does not touch you.  She senses your energy as she works on you from a distance.  The work can also be done long distance, in which case the worker visualizes you in the room and continues as if you were there.  Sometimes people receiving Esoteric Healing feel sensations in their bodies.  Often they do not.  Most people experience a pleasant feeling of deep relaxation.

Energy work is not a quick fix.  When you come seeking help with a particular issue, the goal is to heal the core issue that is causing the problem.  Energy blocks build up over time creating distortions in the body's field.   This is analogous to how physical stress and tensions create out body's unique posture over time.  Initially several sessions are needed to gently encourage the energy field to move in new and more health producing ways.  As blocked areas are released the energy being used to maintain that block becomes available for more productive purposes and you may feel increased focus and vitality.

Esoteric Healing combines effectively with massage.  After the session your energy will continue to move for 48 hours or more.  You can help this process by remaining in a quiet state for 30 to 60 minutes after treatment.
